JCAHO Accreditation

MIT Medical is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission's national standards for healthcare quality and safety.

Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations' goal is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of healthcare accreditation. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Beginning in 2006, site visits by the Joint Commission are unannounced.

MIT Medical continually works to enhance quality and safety for our patients. MIT Medical patients may contact the Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concerns or register complaints about a Joint Commission-accredited health care organization by either calling 1-800-994-6610 or emailing complaint@jcaho.org.
