MIT Mind-Body Month:
Integrative Approaches to Health and Wellbeing

February-March 2009

Stress management and relaxation specialists will lead free on-site workshops this winter to help faculty and staff cope with stress.

“MIT Mind-Body Month: Integrative Approaches to Health and Wellbeing” in February and early March is organized by the Mind/Body/Spirit Advisory Committee, a cross-campus group that aims to enhance health, self-care, and wellbeing through integrative approaches. Collaborators include MIT Medical, DAPER (the Department of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation), the Board of Chaplains, Student Life Programs, the Student Activities Office, and lgbt@MIT.

“Stressful times require deliberate measures, and we’ll present some of the most effective stress reduction skills,” said Susanna Barry, a program manager in MIT Medical’s Center for Health Promotion and Wellness. “Participants will come away with concrete tools to manage their stress and tap into their natural relaxation response.”

Please note: Registration is now closed for these workshops.
