Areas of Specialization / Professional Interests

Kate provides health consultations to individuals and couples who have questions regarding their sexual health. She is a certified Sexuality Educator from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), a certified HIV counselor, and a certified rape crisis counselor. Kate also works as the program director and VPR advocate for the Violence Prevention and Response program. She can answer questions or point MIT community members to resources on dealing with sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual harassment and questions about unhealthy relationships.

On The Right Track, a guide to help youth serving organizations recognize the need to address sexuality with young people, understand how sexuality education and youth development can complement each other, and determine ways in which youth development programs can begin to incorporate this important topic.
