MIT Student Medical Plan
The MIT Student Medical Plan provides all registered students with health care and services at MIT Medical as part of their tuition, including:
- Unlimited care by a primary care provider
- Urgent care available 24 hours a day, every day of the year
- Stress-management consultations
- Mental health services
- Gynecological visits and related lab tests
- Confidential testing for sexually transmitted diseases
- Pregnancy testing
- Flu shots and most vaccines (with copayments for some vaccines)
- Most laboratory and other diagnostic testing and X-rays
- Alcohol and substance abuse support
Other services are also available at no additional cost. However, some services, such as dental care, routine eye exams, and certain vaccines and medications, are not included. These services may be covered by the Student Extended Insurance Plan or other insurance.
