MIT Medical provides comprehensive, high-quality, confidential physical and mental health services for members of MIT’s LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community. At MIT Medical, understanding and knowledgeable care providers work together to provide coordinated care to individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. We offer a full range of health care resources and services, including:
MIT Medical’s Center for Health Promotion & Wellness offers free or low-cost classes, workshops, and publications on a number of topics, including sexual health and relationship issues. The Center’s health educators are available for one-on-one consultations to answer your questions, direct you to MIT health resources, and support you in making informed health decisions. Confidential consultations can take place in person or by phone.
MIT Medical’s Mental Health Service provides counseling and mental health services that are sensitive to LGBT concerns. We can help you deal with stressful life events, like coming out or ending a relationship, or address other concerns, such as anxiety, depression, grief, or substance abuse.
